Head Coach – Trent Barrett

A talented five-eighth/half-back, Trent played 295 first grade games through stints at Illawarra, St George-Illawarra, Wigan, and Cronulla. He represented NSW on 11 occasions and played 15 Tests for Australia and four World Cup matches.  Prior to taking on the Sea Eagles Head Coach role for the 2016 season as part of a three-year deal, Trent worked as an Assistant Coach for the NSW Blues, and Penrith Panthers. He has also coached Country Origin and Italy in the World Cup. 2016 Coaching Record: 24 games, won 8, lost 16.

Assistant Coach/Recruitment Manager – John Cartwright

A great ball-playing second-rower, John played 184 first grade games for Penrith, winning a premiership in 1991. He represented NSW eight times and Australia seven times, as well as in four World Cup matches. John was an Assistant Coach at Penrith and the Sydney Roosters before being the first Head Coach of the Gold Coast Titans from 2007-14 (186 games). John was the Assistant Coach of NRL Premiers, North Queensland Cowboys, in 2015.

Head of Physical Performance – Dan Ferris

Dan previously worked as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Gold Coast Titans, and Head Trainer for the Country Rugby League team under Coach Trent Barrett. A Bond University graduate, Dan's major area of expertise is in all aspects of Elite Physical Performance Program Development, and Management in Professional Contact Sports Athletes.

Head Trainer – Alex Ross

Alex is in his 22nd season with the club, dating back to 1996 with the U/14s development squad. He later became the Head Trainer of the NRL squad in 2004. ‘Rossy’ has been involved in two grand final wins (2008,’11) and four grand final appearances with the Sea Eagles.

Head Physiotherapist – Andre Rickenbach

Andre has been the Head Physiotherapist at the Sea Eagles since 2003. He previously held the position of New Zealand Test physiotherapist from 2000-2002. He studied at the University of Auckland, and has a Masters in Exercise Science from the University of Texas, Austin. Andre was involved in the 2008 and 2011 premiership victories.

Assistant / Rehabilitation Physiotherapist – Cameron Dyer

Cameron studied physiotherapy at the University of Newcastle. Cameron has previously worked with the Newcastle Knights and the Australian Rugby 7s Mens and Development teams. 

Chief Medical Officer – Dr Luke Inman

Luke was the team doctor for the Australian Rugby Union men’s and women’s Seven-a-side teams, and was an assistant doctor to the Sydney Swans and NSW Waratahs teams. He represented Australia in seven-a-side rugby and played for Australia in the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in 2006. He also played 20 matches for the NSW Waratahs in the Super Rugby competition.

Rehabilitation Coach – Cameron Ferguson

Cameron joined the Sea Eagles from the Gold Coast Suns AFL Club where he held the positions of Rehabilitation Manager, and Performance Analyst. He also spent time as the High Performance Manager, and Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Gold Coast Suns Academy. He has studied at Bond University and Griffith University.

Assistant Coach and Development Co-ordinator, NRL - Chad Randall

A Sea Eagles ball boy in the 90s, Chad made his first grade debut in 2002 for the then Northern Eagles. He went on to play 66 games for Manly/Northern Eagles until 2006 when he joined the London Broncos in the English Super League. Chad played 197 games for the London club over eight years. His first stint at coaching saw him take a struggling London Academy side to the finals. In 2014, Chad returned home to take up an assistant role with Manly’s SG Ball side before taking on the Head Coach role in 2015. He coached the NYC team in 2016. 

Manager, NRL Football Operations – Gareth Holmes

Gareth joined the Sea Eagles in January 2017 after spending the previous 5 years at the National Rugby League managing the game’s Elite Representative teams and programs. Gareth was the Team Manager for the Australian Kangaroos during this time and was part of the successful team that won back the 2013 Rugby League World Cup and in 2016 regaining the Four Nations Trophy and returning the Kangaroos to the World Number 1 ranked team.  In addition he managed the NRL and World All Stars teams as well as the programs for the Australian Prime Ministers XIII, Jillaroos, Junior Kangaroos and Australian Schoolboys.  Prior to the NRL, Gareth spent 15 years at the Parramatta Eels working in Game Development, Coach Education, Community, Recruitment, Welfare and Football Operations where he finished at the club as Football Manager. He also coached various District and Junior Representative Teams at the Eels with premiership success. 

NYC Coach - Wayne Lambkin

Wayne is in his first year of coaching with the Sea Eagles in 2017. His previous appointments have included North Sydney NSW Cup (2007-2015), Canterbury NSW Cup (2005-2006), and Penrith NYC (2003-04). He has also held the position of Head Coach of the rugby league program at Westfield Sports High School since 2002.
